  • About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional in the field of WorkCover claims management. As a Case Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in effectively managing and administering WorkCover claims in accordance with relevant legislation and the University's processes. You will provide expert advice on legislative and non-compensable matters, contributing to service delivery for earl support services and reasonable adjustments matters. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact by ensuring the smooth handling Workcover claims and supporting the wellbeing of employees within the University.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Determine initial liability
  • Analyse and assess ongoing entitlements under the Act
  • Contribute to claims management systems development and review
  • Maintain records and assist Returning Injured Personnel to Work
  • Coordination of intervention activities
  • Who we are looking for We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated WorkClaims professional with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Your ability to effectively engage with stakeholders and provide excellent customer service will be crucial in this role. Your empathetic nature and genuine desire to assist others will contribute to creating a positive and supportive work environment.

    You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
  • Allied Health Background or similar experience in healthcare industry desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with injured workers, line managers and human resources professionals to deliver effective injury management and return to work services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in relation to Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act.

    This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to- date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
