The Role:

Estates Division is looking to recruit a Carpenter Joiner to carry out various building fabric repairs around the Universities Operational Estate. The range of works is vast and requires an interest in building maintenance along with skills in working with all kinds of materials and machine shop and joinery experience.

As part of our in-house building fabric team, you will provide front line support to University Departments by undertaking the routine fabric maintenance and passive fire work throughout the operational estate. Experience with passive fire work is important but not essential as training will be provided.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have a good general education with experience in carpentry and joinery. You should have excellent organisational and communication skills along with the ability to work alone or as a team member. A proven qualification in carpentry joinery to NVQ level 3 or similar is essential.

This is a great opportunity to work as part of a small and friendly team in and around the vast University estate.

A full British driving licence is essential for the role.
