This role is only available to current University of Leeds students in their penultimate year of study, looking to undertake a placement year in academic year 2024-2025.
Salary: Grade 3 (£22,214 - £23,144 p.a depending on experience)
This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Working within the Digital Communications team at the University of Leeds, you will work within our Social Media team who manage the institution's central social media channels.
Your duties will include day to day community management of our channels and this will provide you with an opportunity to interact with students, university staff and external organisations, be involved in supporting and managing campaigns, carrying out data analysis and creating content.
You will be involved in the promotion and communications of activities through social media to a variety of audiences as well as working on exciting student focused projects and ground-breaking research news. You will be an enthusiastic individual and be able to confidently work with students, university staff and external organisations. You will have excellent administrative and organisational skills and an ability to manage and prioritise your own workload. You will have a passion for social media and enjoy making social content for a range of audiences.
