We are looking for an experienced business support and marketing officer to join the cyber team within Research and Enterprise Services, supporting an innovative Cyber Security based programme at Lancaster University. The project provides a research and development service for small to medium sized businesses (SMEs), providing cyber security awareness training through to the exploration of new product ideas enabling beneficiaries to work at a reduced risk. We are seeking to recruit a highly skilled person to support the promotion and delivery of this unique business support programme which will be available to businesses across a range of industrial sectors in Lancashire and Cumbria.

You will demonstrate a strong capability and expertise in organising, promoting and working on marketing activities and campaigns. As the business support and marketing officer for the project, you will be able to clearly demonstrate your ability to plan and communicate to businesses alongside supporting the recruitment and delivery of structured workshops with multiple participants (online and in person), one-to-one sessions with SMEs, and be able to write a wide range of reports and other material to support the community and individual companies. Working in a highly innovative team, you will support the Business Support and Project Manager ensuring high quality project deliverables. You will be able to showcase innovative approaches to working with companies and helping them to grow, with clear evidence of developing new concepts, process and systems to engage the SME community. You will also be able to demonstrate an ability to work on large government funded projects with high accuracy and attention to detail.
