About the Position

Reporting to the Business Manager, this position is known as “Business Services Officer” working in Bond University’s Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, and is a full-time position. In this position, you will be an integral part of the Executive and Business Services (EBS) Team, who are responsible for the co-ordination, implementation, and provision of professional services to ensure the smooth, effective, and efficient operation of the Faculty, Research Centres, Medicine Program, and Allied Health Programs. There will be an opportunity to work across a broad range of areas, including Finance, HR, and general administration to provide high-level professional services to Faculty, the Faculty’s Research Centres, the Medical Program, the Allied Health Programs, the Business Manager, Manager - Research Development, and Manager - Research Laboratories.

The Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine welcomes applications from candidates with previous experience in a service-oriented position who work effectively as part of a team with a customer-first focus while contributing to team outcomes.

About the person

We are looking for a dynamic individual who thrives on working autonomously and can manage multiple priorities whilst being part of a collaborative team in a busy and growing environment. Furthermore, will be interested continuous improvement, cross-training, and potentially progressing your career within the Faculty.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working independently, managing multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail, and meeting competing deadlines while being part of a collaborative team;
  • Is willing and able to provide and receive cross-training, to assist and/or take over the duties of team colleagues, and to learn and/or create and implement effective processes and systems;
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for communicating with a range of people;
  • Has strong organisational and planning skills, including the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and demonstrate flexibility without compromising standards of service and quality;
  • Has well-developed problem-solving skills while maintaining continuous improvement values, and will work harmoniously with others whilst contributing to team outcomes.

Salary details

The salary for the position will commence at $66,517 plus 12% superannuation per annum.

Please note: The fixed term of this employment contract will be for up to two years, with twelve months' probation. The prospect of conversion to a continuing employment contract will be discussed at the end of the contract term.
