Your new role Our Risk, Compliance and Audit team is currently seeking an experienced Business Resilience Manager to join their dynamic and innovative team. This position will require the successful candidate to utilise their expertise and be responsible for managing and supporting the University's business continuity and resilience management function, including providing specialist advice on incident response and supporting the application of business continuity and resilience policies and procedures to areas throughout the University.

In this role, you will...

  • Provide strategic support, expert advice and facilitate discussions in relation to business continuity and resilience and ensure that performance standards and KPIs are attained.
  • Deliver professional advice to stakeholders on matters relating to prevention and/or management of high-risk incidents on domestic and overseas matters, and travel-related matters.
  • Regularly monitor and review management policies and procedures to develop and implement improvements as required.
  • Communicate and build professional networks with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, whilst working closely with key university service providers such as People and Culture, Finance, Legal and IT to ensure alignment of activities with broader policies and frameworks.
  • To be successful in this role, you will have...

  • Qualifications and/or extensive experience in Emergency Response Management, Crisis Management, Disaster Management or Business Continuity Management.
  • Demonstrated planning and management skills with the ability to provide strategic advice, develop options, analyse risks, make good judgements, and solve problems in the delivery of business outcomes for an organisation.
  • Ability to negotiate and effectively simplify and articulate complex technical knowledge to a wide range of audiences.
  • Previous industry experience, particularly within organisations with a global footprint and exposure to working with foreign jurisdictions is highly desirable.
