Salary: UH 5 £27,181pa with potential to progress to £30,487 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience

Annual Leave: 25 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Location: Enterprise Hub, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 9EU

Business Enterprise and Innovation team provision include start-up support through our Incubator, SME support through our Accelerators, funded SME and entrepreneurial support through externally funded programmes, consultancy, Collaborative and contract research and bespoke solutions for companies and external organisations. Additionally, we also support our enterprising students and graduates in their entrepreneurial journey.

Main duties and responsibilities

To provide central administrative support within the team, working collaboratively to organise activities, deliverables and outputs for all the projects and programmes delivered by the team, including but not limited to the Incubator, Accelerator, Mentoring Services, Entrepreneurship programmes, Consultancy, Contract and Collaborative research. To act as a first point of contact for enquires, internal and external for all relevant projects and programmes. To ensure accurate and correct completion of department-related administration in full compliance with legal requirements, University requirements, and any relevant external stakeholder requirements.

Skills and experience required

The post holder will be expected to deliver high standard of client/customer service standards and will have experience of operating in client/customer focused environment within a higher education or business context. They should have excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to collect, process and present complex data. They will have experience of dealing with confidential information in a sensitive and discreet manner. They work on their own initiative and organise workload effectively to deal with multiple priorities and to work under pressure with little supervision. They will have advanced level skills in MS Office suite and experience working with CRM systems.

Qualifications required

Educated to a minimum of an A-level standard or equivalent or proven professional work experience
