In anticipation for the next phase of our digital roadmap, we are seeking a Business Analysts for our IT Product Delivery team. Your new role Our IT Product Delivery team is focused on developing new and enhancing existing software solutions for teaching, learning and business areas at Curtin.

We currently have 2 x positions available:

  • Business Analyst – Full time, permanent (continuing) opportunity
  • As a Business Analyst, you will be at the forefront of driving change and ensuring that our products remain ahead of the curve. In this role, you will have the opportunity to delve deep into the university's needs, across diverse projects and business areas, ensuring that our digital offerings are cutting edge and fit for purpose.

  • Senior Business Analyst – Full time, 12 month fixed term contract
  • As a Senior Business Analyst, you will provide high level support to our Enterprise Application Management team with a focus on delivering dynamic change management strategies to support the smooth adoption of new technologies and processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and identify business needs, bringing fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the table.
  • Bridge the Gap: Facilitate seamless communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned and working towards a common goal.
  • Show the way: Support the smooth adoption of transformational technologies and processes by communicating and modelling change management strategies.
  • Ensure Alignment: Conduct thorough impact assessments to ensure that proposed changes are not only beneficial but fully aligned with our overarching business objectives.
  • Drive Improvement: Analyse existing systems and processes with a keen eye for improvement, constantly seeking ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • We are looking for someone with:

  • Extensive experience in the analysis, documentation and mapping of business processes.
  • Demonstrated high level project management skills with the ability to manage and implement project plans to achieve desired outcomes within budget and resourcing constraints.
  • A collaborative and inclusive approach to problem solving with the ability to break down complex ideas into actionable tasks.
  • Strong experience and commitment to the implementation of best practice, business process improvement and client focused service management and delivery standards to deliver effective and efficient services.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and work with vendors, business areas, and internal teams to advance the delivery of services or solutions.
  • High level organisational skills and a good understanding of a variety of delivery methodologies, both Agile and traditional.
  • Knowledge and experience with Cloud platforms, including those from AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform.
  • Recognised Agile or SAFe certification.
  • You will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role to be considered. As this position is based at our Curtin Bentley campus, candidates are expected to either be currently located in Perth, WA, or express a willingness to relocate.
