You are capable of successfully working autonomously and as part of a team to deliver strategic project outcomes. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills allow you to partner with people at all levels across the organisation.

    About the Role

    As the Business Analyst: Programs and Courses, you will be responsible for managing systems and processes linked to program and course approval, program and course configuration, and related academic administration processes. You will drive continuous improvement by designing and reviewing processes, procedures, and data integrity improvement strategies, whilst ensuring software and interface releases and upgrades are tested and implemented efficiently and changes clearly communicated to the end users.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of unit-wide student system policies, procedures, and guidelines, particularly in relation to program and coursework approval, and accreditation
  • Maintain the program, plan and other key information, and configure program changes within curriculum and student management systems
  • Monitor and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Provide expert advice to colleagues across the University
  • Oversee the recording and management of accreditation and recognition agreements in the student system, and ongoing integrity of accreditation data in the student system

    The Student and Academic Services Unit (SAS) provides senior leadership in student and academic administration in a distributed service environment. It is responsible for the development and maintenance of policy, information systems and procedural frameworks. The Unit coordinates and provides quality assurance for several university functions including student admissions, enrolments, examinations, graduations, student finance and scholarships.

    Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex information systems and processes through the use of highly developed analytical and information management skills
  • Well-developed problem-solving, solutions development, and advisory skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
  • High-level organisational, project management, and administrative skills
  • Experience working in the tertiary education, vocational education, government, or other similar sectors is highly regarded
