COTEC (Cranfield Ordnance and Test Evaluation Centre) is an outstation of Cranfield Defence and Security and is located on Salisbury Plain, south of Devizes. The site is leased from the MOD and all range operations are carried out under the authority of Defence Training Estates Salisbury Plain DTE(SP).
We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual to join our team as an apprentice in an area of business where our expertise is trusted by governments, armed forces and security services around the world.
About the Role
As an apprentice, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our day-to-day operations. From managing administrative tasks to providing first class customer services in a forward facing and active role where you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.
You will gain valuable experience through the successful completion of a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship and you will have the opportunity to get involved in the exciting and explosive work at COTEC.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual, passionate about customer services working within a small team on a site where we carry out a large range of tasks primarily based around the testing and evaluation of explosives, ordnance and munitions for defence and commercial customers.
You will be a well-organised and self-motivated individual with a practical aptitude and willingness to learn. You will approach issues with a can-do attitude and a collaborative mindset, as being part of a team is key. Having a flexible attitude and ability to cope with change is crucial and we are looking for someone whose ambition is to develop their career.
