The UAA Culinary Arts & Hospitality Program is seeking to hire an adjunct to teach one or more bakery undergraduate courses.
Duties:100The incumbent will be responsible for teaching one or more undergraduate courses in a manner consistent with the specific course content description. Adjunct faculty are expected to hold office hours appropriate for the course(s) being taught.Essential
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students. Expertise and experience relevant to the effective teaching of the specialty.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
Prefer a year of teaching experience in the baking field.
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
Bachelors degree in Culinary Arts & Hospitality or a minimum 2 years in the industry with a background in baking.
Master's degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
ServSafe Food Protection Manager certificate preferred
