  • About the Role Our Digital Workplace Experience Department has a unique opportunity for an AV Services Specialist to become a key player within their dynamic team and provide technical support for AV and Educational Technology in various learning, meeting and event spaces across the university.

    With a commitment to customer service excellence, you will have the opportunity to commission new audio-visual deployments, maintain and configure supporting AV infrastructure, and support whole AV solutions in alignment with Swinburne standards and procedures. You will also use your specialist knowledge to analyse and make recommendations for AV technology upgrades for all campuses and provide level 3 and level 4 AV support, coordinate service calls, and manage vendor relationships.

    Additionally, you will contribute to specifications and enhancements of supporting AV infrastructure and standards, and provide specialist live, hybrid, and virtual event management, training, and support for both internal and external customers.

    It is expected that the incumbent of the role will be on campus 5-days a week.

    About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Commitment to industry Certification (Preferred: AVIXA, Crestron & XiO, Dante, Biamp, Sennheiser, Extron, Polycom, Echo360)
  • Extensive knowledge of, and experience in fault-finding and maintenance of a broad range of audiovisual devices and AV infrastructure systems.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with excellent stakeholder relationship management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people from technical, non-technical and management backgrounds.
  • Demonstrable customer focus bias with a track record for delivering service improvements.
  • Extensive experience in the management and support of live and hybrid streaming events.
  • A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently, to prioritise own workflow, and to establish clear priorities from multiple demands.
  • Qualifications A relevant technical degree with subsequent relevant experience; or experience in an AV technical field.
