Attendance and Engagement Officer

Job description

Please note a full application including a covering letter detailing your experience alongside a CV is required for applications to be considered. Please be advised applications made without providing a cover letter will not be accepted.

About the role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive officer to join our Attendance and Engagement Team within the newly designed Digital and Student Experience (DASE) Directorate. This role focuses primarily on delivering high-quality support for the University's attendance and engagement processes. You will be a key contributor to the day to day operation of monitoring student engagement data and coordinating response activities across teams within CCCU and Partners.

You will play a central role in ensuring these critical activities are delivered accurately, securely, and in full alignment with institutional requirements

If you are highly organised, confident in working with data and regulations, and motivated by delivering excellent customer service, we would be pleased to hear from you.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused individual with experience coordinating complex, deadline-driven processes ideally within a higher education or similarly regulated environment.

We're seeking someone who combines excellent organisational abilities with a calm, professional, and empathetic approach. You will be able to support students sensitively, while maintaining clear boundaries and upholding institutional and regulatory standards. Your ability to manage competing priorities, remain solutions-focused and maintain high levels of accuracy under pressure will be essential.

You will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, with confidence using student record systems or similar databases and working with large datasets. A strong customer-service ethos and the ability to build positive working relationships with academics, students and external stakeholders are vital. You'll bring a flexible, team-oriented approach and demonstrate sound judgement, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement in attendance practices.

How will you work?

We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is Flexible and connected (Professional Services).

Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus.

How to apply

Start date for applications: 14/09/2026 Closing date for applications: 01/10/2026 Interviews are to be held: W/C 19/10/2026

If you require further information regarding the post please feel free to contact Faye Glen, Attendance & Engagement Team Lead on [email protected] (strictly no agencies, thank you) quoting reference REQ06389
