The Astrophoria Foundation Year (AFY) seeks to appoint teaching staff to deliver History teaching as part of the AFY Humanities course.

About the role

The post holder will deliver teaching for the relevant History modules of the AFY Humanities course including classes, tutorials and/or the supervision of extended essays. The post holder will be expected to prepare and deliver teaching in a way that will help students work towards the intended learning outcomes and be the first contact for student matters.

This is a variable hours position, available on a fixed-term contract until July 2028.

About the Astrophoria Foundation Year

The Astrophoria Foundation Year is a one-year fully-funded foundation programme for UK state school students with significant academic potential, who have experienced severe personal disadvantage and/or disrupted education which has resulted in them being unable to apply directly for an Oxford undergraduate degree programme.
