The Department is looking for a high-calibre professional for the post of Associate Professor (Clinical) in Orthopaedics & Traumatology.
Applicants should have (i) a medical qualification (approved for registration with The Medical Council of Hong Kong); (ii) a specialist qualification in orthopaedic surgery which is comparable to the requirement of the Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Surgeons; (iii) post-qualification experience in relevant discipline; and (iv) a track record of teaching and student supervision, interdisciplinary research, publication and grant proposal writing.
The appointee will (a) provide clinical services; (b) conduct research and clinical trials; (c) teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses; and (d) undertake administrative duties in the Department, Faculty and University. The appointee will work mainly at the Prince of Wales Hospital and hospitals in the New Territories East Cluster. Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation.
