    We are seeking a passionate Associate Lecturer (Maths and Literacy), referred to internally as an Academic Learning Adviser, to join the Rural and Remote Pilot (RRP) Project team to support students through their learning journey at the Longreach Rural and Remote Pilot (RRP) Hub location.

    You will develop and deliver teaching activities and conduct personalised consultations aimed at developing students' academic skills. You will also provide local Hub tutorial support to students enrolled in the various Health- related courses offered as part of the RRP Project. You will have excellent communication and literacy skills with an advanced knowledge of English grammar and sentence structure.

  • Position Requirements
  • Demonstrated success in literacy teaching, communication skills including sound knowledge of the appropriate pedagogical frameworks to teach concepts to students of differing levels and abilities, providing academic learning advice/assistance, illustrating a student focused approach to delivery.
  • Completion of a Bachelor degree with industry or professional experience.
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a Diploma or higher level qualification in adult education, or equivalent (desirable).
  • Detailed knowledge and proficiency to effectively operate University operating systems, for example Moodle and business support software including word processing, spreadsheeting, PowerPoint presentations, database systems and email.
  • Depending on your location, weekly travel (may include air travel) to a RRP Longreach Hub location will be required.
