Job description

School of Creative and Cultural Industries Fixed Term contract for 36 hours

About this role Join our highly professional, committed and student focused academic team, based at the Bognor Regis Campus. Responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and practical instruction in Film Directing techniques. The role supports students on our Screen Acting and Film Production BA (Hons) course in developing technical, creative, and industry-relevant skills for careers in film, and screen performance.

About you The appointed postholder will have an In-depth understanding of directing films and communicating with actors. You will have a good relevant first degree with professional or academic qualifications at Masters level and evidence of continuing professional development in subject area.

Your teaching will be informed by a combination of practical experience and/or research to support high quality learning and teaching. You will have demonstrable experience of using Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), and the use of technologies to enhance the learning, assessment of and feedback to our students.

About the team You will work within the team to strengthen the distinctiveness of the University's student experience as high-quality, personalised, accessible and aspirational. You'll need to demonstrate an ability to work effectively and positively within a small academic team, excellent teaching methods with the ability to develop a variety of approaches to learning and teaching that is student-centred, inclusive and flexible.
