| Primary Purpose | Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Student Life, Title IX, Title VI Coordinator and ADA Compliance (AVP), the Associate Dean of Student Conduct and Community Standards serves as the Senior Conduct Officer and a member of the AVP’s leadership team. The Associate Dean is responsible for the administration of the student code of conduct, prevention, on-going education and programming in compliance with institutional, state, and federal requirements. This position requires a high degree of interpersonal skills and effective communication associated with crisis intervention, meeting with diverse students, and interactions with staff and faculty. The position requires access to and management of confidential information and requires discretion and independent judgement. Because this position has crisis intervention and on-call responsibilities, some after hours and weekend work are necessary. A central component of this role is cultivating strong, effective campus collaboration and partnerships across the university. This includes building and sustaining close working relationships with Fraternity and Sorority Life, academic units, academic deans, key student life partners, and other key campus stakeholders. The individual in this leadership position is expected to engage proactively with faculty, staff, and administrative leaders to advance student success, reinforce a culture of integrity, and ensure that conduct and academic integrity practices remain aligned with the institution’s educational mission. Pacific offers full-time employees a unique opportunity to live on our beautiful campus at below-market rental rates—helping you save time and money on your commute. |
