    Position description

    The Department of Linguistics (https:// ling.ucsd.edu) within the School of Social Sciences at the University of California, San Diego invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Childhood Language Development at the level of Assistant Professor with an expected start date of July 1, 2024. We welcome applications from scholars who study childhood language development from a variety of perspectives.

    The selected candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, as well as mentor students. They will conduct and publish research and participate in professional activities, such as attending and presenting at conferences and pursuing research funding in the field of childhood language development. They are also expected to participate in department and university service as academic members of the campus community.

    ABD or PhD in Linguistics or related field with specialization in childhood language development.
