At the Section for Nutrition and Health we have a metabolomics facility focusing on food derived and microbial metabolites. At this facility we have a 32 months half-time (50%) position in Computational Metabolomics available from 1 May 2024.

The assistant professor's duties will primarily include research, including obligations with regard to publication and scientific communication and research-based teaching obligations within Metabolomics and statistics with associated examinations. To a limited extent this may also include performance of other duties. In particular, the applicant should:

  • Be fluent in English and in a Nordic language since bachelor level statistics teaching in Danish is a mandatory part of the duties, while the working language in the research group is English.
  • Have documented pedagogical training at the level of an Assistant Professor documented by a teaching portfolio.
  • Have a very good command of R and experience with metabolomics applications in R, preferably shiny apps, documented by publications in peer-reviewed, international scientific journals.
  • Have an M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or a related education.
  • Have documented experience in Nutrition research.

    The position is open from 1 April 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter and lasts for 32 months.
