Assistant Profesor for the Department of Molecular Pharmacy

In research and education, the Department of Molecular Pharmacy specializes in testing the biological activity of substances of natural and synthetic origin on tissue cultures. It belongs among six Faculty of Pharmacy of Masaryk University (MU) departments, the second largest employer in the region.

The primary mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy of MU is to provide university education, carry out research in the field of pharmacy and related fields, and fulfill the social role of the faculty as an academic institution. The faculty closely cooperates with domestic and foreign research institutes and pharmaceutical industrial companies and is a proud recipient of the HR Excellence in Research Award, a European quality certificate for HR processes.

What will be your job responsibilities:

  • Providing research, development, and innovation, especially by initiating and leading research groups
  • Activities to ensure funding for research, development, and innovation from third parties. Submission of grant applications, implementation of contractual cooperation, etc.
  • Publishing in prestigious journals and other forms of communicating the results of research, development, and innovation
  • Implementation of student's education in master's and doctoral study programs of the Faculty of Pharmacy
  • Active participation in domestic and foreign scientific conferences, presentation of research results at conferences and other professional meetings in the country and abroad
  • Creation of texts for educational purposes
  • Spreading knowledge in the field of pharmacy to the general public
  • What we require:

  • Completed university education in a doctoral study program (Ph.D.) in the field of molecular biology, biotechnology, or related field
  • Active approach, initiative, and willingness to further professional growth.
  • Ability to actively participate in international conferences and seminars.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Czech language verbally and in writing.
  • Active knowledge of English.
  • Teamwork ability.
  • Civil and moral integrity, responsibility.

    Full-time- 40 hours per week.

    Start date: 1 September 2024, or by agreement.
