The Management and Organizations Department in the Sellinger School of Business and Management at Loyola University Maryland is seeking candidates for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in international business, international management, and strategic management. The position will require candidates to prepare and teach international business and strategic management courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and in multiple modalities (face to face, online synchronous, online asynchronous). The course load is six courses per academic year after a one course reduction in each of the first two years. Candidates will also be expected to conduct high quality research on various topics in the field of international business and strategic management and publish in management related journals and in relevant fields. Participation in the administration of the department, school, and university is also expected, including serving on assigned committees or in leadership roles.

Required Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess a Ph.D. (or be ABD) in international business, international management, and/or strategic management from an AACSB or equivalent-accredited school.
  • Candidates must have scholarly expertise in the areas of international business, international management, and strategic management or other management-related disciplines.
  • Quality publications or potential to publish in areas related to international business, international management, and strategic management.
  • Candidates must be considered Scholarly Academic (SA) by having at least two peer-reviewed articles in addition to other intellectual contributions in a five-year period as defined by our AACSB guidelines (ABD status or an earned doctorate within the past five years also constitutes SA status).

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience or demonstrated potential to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of international business, international management and strategic management.
  • Prior experience with online instructional delivery (both synchronous and asynchronous formats).
  • Demonstrated experience meeting the learning needs of a diverse student body and teaching student teams.
  • Experience integrating course material and shared learning objectives across multiple courses taught by several instructors.
  • Appreciation of the importance of diversity and economic inclusion in organizations and society.
