Applications are invited for the permanent, full-time post of Electronic Resources Librarian at the University of Galway Library.
The Electronic Resources Librarian will lead our E-Resources Team in managing, coordinating, and administering the University Library's diverse range of electronic resources throughout their lifecycle. The Electronic Resources Librarian will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effortless access and discoverability of our e-collections for the University of Galway's community. The Electronic Resources Librarian will collaborate closely with service owners in Collections and other Library departments to maintain the high standard and relevance of our e-resources. Their responsibilities will encompass managing the relevant areas of the Library management system, as well as overseeing other systems crucial for enhancing the secure discoverability of e-resources. They will lead the E-Resources Team in platform administration and resource analysis, ensuring that the Library's electronic resources are seamlessly integrated into our systems, accessible through multiple channels, demonstrating value for money. The E-Resources Librarian will be proactive, comfortable taking the initiative, and dedicated to delivering an exceptional user experience. The successful candidate will scrutinize every aspect of the user journey to guarantee accuracy of information and achieve excellence in service delivery.
