This is an exciting opportunity to join the Physical Sciences Library team at a pivotal time: the Department of Physics is due to move to the purpose-built Ray Dolby building in 2025.
Based in the Department of Physics, as the Assistant Librarian, you will be supporting c.1000 students and researchers with research and teaching needs. You will be responsible for managing the departmental library's budgets, purchasing, collection development and research support.
You will also be contributing to wider research and scholarly communication support (including teaching), working with colleagues across Cambridge University Libraries, and in particular, the Hub library team.
You will be joining before the department moves to the Ray Dolby building and will therefore be in a unique position to establish library services in a purpose-built new library. We are looking for an engaged, enthusiastic library professional to take the new library forward!
