Assistant Lecturer in the Centre for Applied English Studies (Ref.: 530705) (to commence on September 1, 2025, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should have a recognized post-graduate qualification, at Master's level or equivalent in Applied Linguistics or T.E.F.L. and have normally 3 years' post-qualification teaching experience preferably at tertiary level or other relevant professional experience. They should be able to show evidence of an ability to: (a) meet the needs of students through their teaching, as evidenced by positive student feedback; (b) teach across a range of courses; (c) produce, evaluate and revise teaching and learning materials; (d) work on meeting self-identified professional development goals.
The Centre is specifically looking for candidates who can bring experience related to (i) academic literacy teaching and materials development for undergraduate students, (ii) out-of-class communication support and materials development in three strands e.g. writing, speaking, and digital literacy, and (iii) blended-learning teaching and materials development.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
