The Assistant Director of Professional Services will be responsible to the Medical School Secretary for the operation of professional service functions across the School. The post-holder will work with others to ensure that the Medical School Secretary is able to focus on the strategic development of the School's education and research programmes and represent the School effectively at high levels nationally and internationally.
The post-holder will demonstrate competence in management, exercise initiative and flair in dealing with complex operational issues and present information in a timely and concise way both orally and in writing. You will have direct line-management for several teams of staff and will help them to identify solutions to issues which concern the delivery and assessment of the undergraduate medical curriculum, postgraduate taught programmes and students' welfare.
