The Admissions Office (AO) of the Registry, The University of Hong Kong strives to recruit top-notched students both locally and around the world. We are currently developing new initiatives to serve this purpose and are recruiting several forward-looking and creative talents in event management, marketing and student outreach to join the Office.

The Role

The appointee will play a versatile role in leading the team in communication, marketing and student relations. He/She will be required to collaborate with different teams and offices to facilitate the Office's effective communication with different stakeholders, including Faculties and departments, applicants and external organisations. The appointee will also assist in the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans and events to promote the University's undergraduate admissions to high schools students, provide secretarial support and reports to committee, follow-up with students' queries, and perform any other duties as assigned. He/She may be occasionally required to work outside regular office hours and on weekends, and to travel overseas.

Qualifications and Qualities

Applicants should have a good University degree and at least 12 years' work experience in the education or related sector, of which at least 5 years should be at supervisory or management level. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, possess a strong sense of responsibility and strategic awareness; capable of working proficiently with significant independence, and have strong organisational and interpersonal skills. Experience in marketing and event management, student relations, event and project management in local/overseas universities are preferred. Those with less experience may be considered as Senior Programme Manager.

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on a full-time fixed-term contract for two years, to commence as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 15% of basic salary for AAI, or 10% of basic salary for AAII. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
