Position Function:

Assist in the day-to-day management and operational support of all athletic department sponsored contests, games and events and the facilities these activities and events are held in.

Salary Grade: 12

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assists in all aspects of athletic department event management and facility operations. 2. Performs pre-planning event management and operational organization of assigned events. 3. Performs on-site event management and facility operations supervision of assigned events. 4. Provides customer service to event and game personnel, spectators, program clients and athletic teams and staff to ensure clean, secure, and safe game, event and facility conditions at all times. 5. Responsible for assisting in the coordination of other university and non- university units in the operational support of game and events. 6. Reports facility repair and maintenance issues during games and events to the Coordinator of Athletic Facility Maintenance. 7. Conducts pre-season, pre-game, and pre-event meetings with all necessary support staff. 8. Report event, game and facility operations emergencies to supervisors and respond to these emergencies as required. 9. When required, will perform preventative maintenance and general upkeep of athletic facilities as they relate to event and facility operations and grounds, including cleaning and janitorial service. 10. Provide support to the Facility Maintenance staff when required. 11. Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field with one (1) year of experience in related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work long and irregular hours. • Valid Driver's License. • Ability to travel. • Ability to work in extreme temperatures.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. with one to the point of being objectionable. Injuries may require professional treatment. • Job frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping/kneeling/crouching/ crawling, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 10 pounds. • Job occasionally requires climbing or balancing and lifting more than 100 pounds. • Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
