Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach

Position Summary

The Department of Athletics at Michigan State University is searching for an Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach to support all aspects of the Women's Volleyball Program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Organize, administer, and promote all aspects of the Michigan State Volleyball program
  • Ability to design and implement elite training concepts and development plans for individual and team growth
  • Organize and lead large summer camp programming
  • Scout and match prep of opponents with competency in video editing programs
  • Recruit high level student athletes
  • Other duties as assigned by the head coach

    Minimum Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and two years of experience coaching at the Division I level recruiting, scouting, training, and facilitating drills at a high level or equivalent experience at a high level.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem solving, communication and organization skills.
  • Proficiency using computers and modern technology congruent with visual training methods.
  • Strong commitment to academic goals and student athlete welfare.
  • Meaningful experience organizing and running large summer camp programs.
  • Understand staff dynamics and work well with groups of people.
  • Conduct oneself with integrity and ethical discernment for the betterment of the program, university, and community.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and a commitment to adhering to all the polices, rules and regulations of MSU, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA.
