The base pay range for this position is $82,300 - $313,800. Salary is negotiated annually. Position descriptionThe Department of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences (https:// radonc.ucsd.edu) within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, is committed to academic excellence and diversity. The Department seeks to recruit full or part-time faculty Radiation Oncologists at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level to join a growing team of radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and scientists.
The Department provides services at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center, the NCI Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, and satellite locations in the greater San Diego area. This position is exclusively based in El Centro, California, located ~ 125 miles from the Moores Cancer Center, and will not provide coverage at other sites.
This position will have the following roles and responsibilities:
Clinical: Fulfill the clinical needs of the Department at our El Centro site location, engage with other physicians in providing multi-disciplinary care, participate in tumor boards, and maintain appropriate credentialing relevant to the area of expertise.
Education: Provide training, teaching, and education for UCSD radiation oncology residents, visiting radiation oncology residents, medical students, and visiting radiation oncology professionals.
Service: Participate in committees at the department, Cancer Center, University, local, and/or national, as appropriate.
Professional Development: Maintenance of applicable medical licenses, board certification, and institutional training requirements as required by UCSD. The continued professional development and integration of new treatment techniques and protocols as supported by evidence-based medicine principles.
The appropriate series and appointment will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

QualificationsBasic qualifications (Required at Time of Application)
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, DO, MD/PhD, or PhD in health-related fields.
Candidates with an MD or equivalent must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California and be board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Preferred qualifications
Candidates with Spanish language skills are preferred.
