You will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive, customer focused, integrated, cost effective and efficient administrative support service for Plymouth Global

About the role:

The Global Opportunities team sits within the Plymouth Global Directorate and is responsible for overseeing and delivering a variety of internationalisation initiatives. The key areas of this role within the Global Opportunities team are; transnational education (TNE) partnerships, articulation and progression arrangements, and supporting student and staff mobility (including exchanges and summer schools) and the University's English Language Centre. As a member of the Plymouth Global team, you will work closely with the Academic Registry, Faculties and professional support services to promote the University's Internationalisation Strategy.

As a member of the Global Opportunities team you will be responsible for processing finance and HR administration for the department. A large proportion of the role will involve booking complex overseas travel & arranging visas for our staff. You will require excellent verbal and written communication skills, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as duties will involve supporting the co-ordination for our partner graduation ceremonies, producing approval letters, and newsletters to our partners. Organising meetings, circulating meeting papers, and note taking is a requirement. You will support the department's compliancy with GDPR and recording of information data. You will assist with supporting the management team and academic staff for a range of partnership activities.

Working as part of a team, we are looking for an individual who is self- motivating, with initiative who can prioritise their workload and fulfil office administration. It is essential that you have excellent attention to detail with high levels of accuracy. You will need to have excellent IT skills, able to work in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of SharePoint would be beneficial but not essential as training is provided, however having confidence in navigating around complex databases, systems and packages is desirable.

Timetable:

Interviews are likely to take place week commencing 13th January 2025 and you will be notified if you have been shortlisted or not.

This is a part-time position working 18.5 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for 6 months to cover a period of absence.

Remote working is available up to 1 day a week.
