Description
A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) is
seeking non-exempt Clinical Administrative Support on the Mesa, Arizona
campus. In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Education, the
successful Clinical Administrative Support will contribute to the
administrative success of the clinical year through exceptional administrative
support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides administrative support to clinical faculty, staff, and students
Coordinate scheduling with clinical rotation experience cancellations and
schedule changes
Coordinate the tracking of preceptor paperwork and credentialing
Assist elective course director with elective clinical rotation experience
scheduling and recruitment
Coordinate category 1 CME awards for PA preceptors annually
Coordinate category 2 CME awards for PA preceptors as requested
In collaboration with the Manager of Assessment and Technology, schedule
clinical year exams. For formative exams, track for completion and follow-
up with appropriate faculty, if necessary. Issue professionalism reports
as needed.
Coordinate clinical year evaluations (preceptor mid-point and final
evaluations, end of rotation student evaluations of site). Ensure
evaluations are submitted and distributed to student advisor.
Monitor week one student check-in and follow-up as necessary
In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Education, monitor
Physician Assistant Absence Requests (PAARs). Approve or deny requests
based on program policy and guidelines
Monthly review of all active clinical affiliation agreements and preceptor
credentialing (maintain current license and board certification paperwork
in learning management system and department files).
Maintains Preceptor Clinical Support Website
Work with program manager to purchase and maintain supply of preceptor
swag and other team supplies
Work with the program manager and DPAS awards committee to select
preceptor and student awards, create certificates/order plaques
Participate in and assist with clinical year events including but not
limited to: proctoring exams, assisting during clinical team meetings
(room and technology set up, taking meeting notes), and clinical year
orientation
Participate in and assist with departmental events and functions including
but not limited to: admissions interview days, search committees,
graduation, white coat ceremony, and awards banquets
Participate in Arizona School of Health Sciences Staff Assembly
Other duties as assigned by Clinical Director and program Chair
The successful candidate must have at least 2 years of administration
experience and:
Has experience in a business, healthcare, or academic office setting
Demonstrate computer software knowledge in Google Suites, Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint with word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics, and
publication skills
Is able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced
environment
Can work flexibly within a cohesive team environment
Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal
and community affiliates
Is a self-starter with demonstrated organizational skills, adept at
attention to detail with excellent critical thinking, time management and
problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
