  • About the Role

    Reporting to the Head of Arts Discovery, you will collaborate with the Academic Lead(s) to deliver seminars focusing on diverse Arts research methodologies, reading materials, and skills development, while ensuring adherence to prepared guidelines. The role will contribute to team teaching seminars to foster academic integrity and interest within the cohort.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to teaching four 2-hour seminars in the required mode (online, on campus, blended) to a high standard.
  • Undertake consultation with students in relation to readings, weekly topics, assessment, and skills development.
  • Mark assessment, provide timely feedback to students and record results into the appropriate results record system.
  • Effectively and efficiently communicate with students via LMS and address frequently asked questions in relation to seminars and assessment.
  • Who We Are Looking For

    You possess the capacity to collaborate across disciplinary boundaries, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrating strong organisational abilities, both independently and as a team member, you can manage tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and maintain professional relationships, with a clear commitment to the collegial values of the University.

    You will also have:

  • Completion or progress towards a Higher Degree by Research in a discipline in the humanities, social sciences, or languages.
  • Demonstrated experience of teaching diverse groups of students in a range of delivery modes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of education and research in the humanities, social sciences, or languages.

    This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
