About the role

Staffordshire University is currently one of the largest providers of degree apprenticeships with work-integrated learning central to the University's vision for next generation education, experience. and engagement.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to intensively support a period of design and development of new degree apprenticeship provision, with a focus on widening and enhancing our portfolio of apprenticeship standards.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Apprenticeship Quality Manager, the post holder will be required to provide expert apprenticeship specific information, advice and support to academic colleagues actively engaged in designing apprenticeship curricular.

The Apprenticeship Quality Officer will:

  • Research and inform on sector best practice in new areas of curricular design
  • Review and influence evolving curriculum design to meet institutional and sector guidance and regulation
  • Contribute to agreed outputs in response to apprenticeship design sprint activities
  • Determine compliant and comprehensive integrated End-Point Assessment Plans for approval
  • This post is externally funded, and is for a fixed-term period until 31st July 2024; this may interest an internal candidate considering a secondment opportunity.
