    About the Role

The primary role is to successfully complete an apprenticeship development programme leading to a Level 6 Laboratory Scientist Degree Apprenticeship. This training position will develop you to be able to carry out both routine and one-off laboratory testing and perform a variety of technical support functions across the organisation. You will identify and use scientific approaches to solve problems, support new investigations and follow-up experiments in the laboratory. You will support appraisal of scientific experimentation with numerical and statistical analysis, and work autonomously to analyse, interpret, and evaluate scientific data and present the results of laboratory work and problem solving clearly and concisely in written and oral form. The apprenticeship provider is Laboratory Scientist (Chemical Science) Degree Apprenticeship Manchester Metropolitan University (mmu.ac.uk).

    About You

You will have 5 GCSE's Grade A-C or 9-4 including Maths, English and Science and 104 UCAS points at A-level (grades BCC), with one being chemistry or an equivalent scientific discipline. Alternatively, you will have successfully completed a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship (including BTEC L3 Applied Science qualification).

You will be IT literate with a personable, positive, and proactive attitude. You will be able and willing to follow instructions, learn new skills, plan and organise to meet deadlines.
