About the role
The role will include a wide array of tasks around the setup and maintenance of IT equipment as well as Audio Visual support and Data management.

About the apprenticeship
As an Apprentice IT Support Officer, you will undertake an apprenticeship with Basingstoke ITEC, where you will complete a Level 3 Information Communications Technician (Support Technician) Apprenticeship.
For this apprenticeship, you will work within a department at the University of Oxford, in central Oxford or Headington. As part of your apprenticeship, you will be required to spend at least 20% of your working hours training or studying, which will include regular online classes with Basingstoke ITEC.
In total, it will take 18-24 months to complete all elements of the apprenticeship, with support from the Department, University, and College throughout.

To complete the level 3 apprenticeship you will need to evidence passes at 9-4 or A-C in GCSE Maths and English. To help check that you have the potential to successful complete your apprenticeship, Basingstoke will ask you to complete a short initial assessment during the application process. There are also government residency requirements for Apprenticeship funding which the Training Provider will be able to advise on.

As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly by the Apprenticeship Training Provider and will be required to provide an up-to-date CV. You will be booked onto a short eligibility assessment telephone call where you can also find out more about the apprenticeship and ask any questions you may have. By applying for this vacancy, you are giving the Training Provider permission to undertake a Learner Record Service check on your previous qualifications.
To complete the level 3 apprenticeship, you will need to evidence passes at 9-4 or A-C in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent). Regardless of prior qualifications, Abingdon & Witney College will ask you to complete a short initial assessment during the application process.
