Description

University Commercial Services Plymouth Ltd's (UCSPL) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of University of Plymouth. We aim to create a financially sustainable and professional service which currently includes Early Years Education and Care, Retail Catering, Hospitality and Events.

This position is covered by the Disqualification under the Childcare Act 2018 Regulations.

Freshlings Nursery is committed to the safeguarding and promotion of welfare of children. All positions are subject to individuals securing enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.

Our on-campus nursery offers childcare for children aged 0-5 years, and is open to staff, students and the wider University community.

Located in Endsleigh Place, at the northern edge of our city-centre campus, children are welcomed into our Caterpillars, Bumblebees, Dragonflies, and Ladybird room, dependent on age. This enables our Qualified Practitioners to tailor activities to meet the individual need of each child.

Working closely with the Plymouth Institute of Education, we have designed our curriculum to develop creative, kind, independent, curious and confident children who are ready to continue their love of learning at school.

Through successful completion of your training with City College Plymouth, and with support from the setting and Plymouth Institute of Education, you will assist in delivering our curriculum which is designed to develop kind, creative, independent, curious and confident children who are ready to continue their love of learning at school.

You will need to be a hands on, caring, kind and an empathetic person. You will need to have a professional attitude with a sense of fun and excitement.

Interviews are likely to take place week commencing Monday 21st October 2024 and you will be notified if you have been shortlisted or not.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for 18 months initally, due to the training contract.

A full-time position will be offered for the right candidate after completion of the apprenticeship, as well as a further training route if desired.
