About the Position
Bond University’s dynamic Student Systems and Data team are currently seeking applications for a part-time Application Support Officer. This team is responsible for the administration and updates to the student system currently used by Bond University, including reporting to Government about student data.

The Application Support Officer role will be responsible for maintaining the University’s new digital student portal, a hub for current students to access various platforms and resources. Serving as the primary administrator for the student portal, this role will also contribute to its ongoing maintenance and support future development. Additionally, the incumbent will contribute to business analysis, testing, and implementation of the portal system, driving improvements to user experience. Training others in portal usage and liaising with university stakeholders will also be a key focus. 

About the person

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: 

  • A degree level qualification OR equivalent relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience with web content management, customer portal administration or other complex information systems.
  • Demonstrated IT, analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to formulate and implement practical solutions to complex Ability to interrogate and present data using tools like Excelor SQL.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and technologies to augment, complement or improve existing
  • Demonstrated well developed written communication skills including the ability to edit and proof documentation and draft a range of communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working partnerships with staff at all levels, in the pursuit of service excellence, continuous improvement initiatives and the achievement of business
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision and ensure that deadlines are
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and deliver user

Salary details

The salary for this 0.48 FTE position commences at $37,684 per annum (Full-time Equivalent is $76,940 per annum) plus 12% superannuation per annum.
