Background of the recruitment and description of the project Background of the recruitment and description of the project The Faculty of Agriculture in Iwate University plans to reorganize the Faculty in April 2025. The Department of Life Sciences is a newly established department, consisting of Course of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and Course of Molecular Biomedical Sciences. The Course of Molecular Biomedical Sciences aims to elucidate life phenomena from micro-organisms to animals and humans at the molecular level, and to utilize this knowledge in solving food problems, health hygiene and disease prevention, thereby contributing to improving the quality of life (QOL) of people.

Work content and job description This position is open to researchers in the field of structural biochemistry, particularly those who are actively engaged in research on the biogenesis of biological membranes and membrane proteins and on the formation of cellular structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for a part of lectures and the experimental and seminar courses, such as "Introduction to Life Sciences", "Experiments in Molecular Biomedical Sciences" and "Information in Molecular Biomedical Sciences I" and the lectures in the liberal education courses, and research guidance for students in the undergraduate and master's programs. We welcome candidates who can provide consistent education in the undergraduate and graduate programs (master's and doctoral programs) for a total of five years.
