  • Position Summary:

    ANSEP is currently recruiting for multiple Student Assistant 2 Recitation Leaders for the 23-24 Academic Year.

    Duties:

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Duties require considerable knowledge and skills in regard to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and motivate others to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate well and speak in front of a group as the leader of the group.
  • Preferred Experience & Education:

    Have taken recitation course and passed with a "B" or better.

    Required Experience & Education:

    Currently enrolled in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) degree program or program approved by ANSEP staff.

    Salary Information:

    This is a Student Assistant 2 position with a minimum starting pay of $11.34 per hour.

    This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.

    Organizes and Leads weekly student study sessions for the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) courses. Candidate should be able to clearly explain the principles and information presented in the courses. In addition, candidate will need to demonstrate leadership to the students. The number of students will vary weekly so candidate should be prepared to deal with these fluctuations. Recitation leaders maintain attendance records and submit them weekly to the ANSEP Student Success Manager.

    A valid Alaska's Driver's License is required.
