  • Position Summary:

    Passionate about helping Alaskans through healthcare? The Alaska Center for Rural Health & Health Workforce (ACRH-HW) is committed to strengthening and diversifying Alaska's health workforce, especially in rural communities and underserved populations. The Center is composed of a variety of programs, most notably the Alaska Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) which is composed of six regional community-based centers throughout the state. We are looking for someone who is eager and excited about promoting events and distributing information about what ACRH-HW does through social media and other platforms.

    Duties:

    100Works under general or intermittent supervision. Duties are varied and require some independent judgment. Decision-making may be required in the minor revision of standard judgment. Examples of typical work include: Social media management for Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) including formulating ideas, creating content, scheduling, and monitoring sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Communication management including checking the various ACRH/ AHEC email accounts and utilizing/editing Listserv to pass event information to subscribers. Create fliers for courses or upcoming events to be printed or emailed as needed.Essential

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    Must have the ability for attention to detail, possess organizational skills, and be able to articulate and communicate effectively.

    Must have prior experience with office-based software, including Meta Business Suite and Canva.

    Preferred Experience & Education:

    Experience with social media management.

    Ability to work independently.

    Required Experience & Education:

    Familiarity with Canva and editing capabilities.

    Experience using Meta Business Suite.

    High School Diploma

    Applicants should be enrolled as a student at UAA with a minimum GPA of 2.0

    Salary Information:

    This is a Student Assistant 1 position with a minimum starting pay of $10.85 per hour.
