Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join our Faculty Operating Service (FOS). The FOS is the professional service to the University led by the Associate Director of Faculty Operations. The service works with Faculty Deaneries and Senior Leadership Teams to support those areas of work which provide essential services to the Faculties core business and underpins the achievement of the strategic objectives of the University.

This post is currently based in the Faculty of Medicine, supporting the School of Clinical and Experimental Sciences at the Southampton General Hospital.

You will have experience of working in an administrative role within a busy and diverse office. Strong diary management skills are essential for this role as well as servicing meetings and organising travel and events.

You will have a keen eye for detail and a flexible attitude. Excellent IT and inter-personal skills are essential, as is a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

As a key point of contact for staff and students, you will need to be a confident and sympathetic communicator with a strong sense of customer focus and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise your own work.
