About the Role

Are you a highly organised and proactive individual with a passion for supporting operational excellence? Join the Curtin School of Allied Health as an Administrative Officer , where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our school. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), fixed-term contract position until July 2025 (with the possibility of extension)

Key responsibilities include providing administrative support for human resource and finance activities in the school, coordinating meetings and events, and managing communications and correspondence. The ideal candidate will also support project logistics, maintain shared information repositories, and facilitate travel arrangements for staff and visitors. Additionally, the role involves collaboration with various university departments to ensure smooth operations.

Selection Criteria

  • Qualifications: Completion of a diploma or equivalent qualification, complemented by significant relevant work experience; or a combination of education/training and relevant work experience.
  • Administrative Coordination: Proven ability to effectively coordinate the administrative functions within a specific area, ensuring seamless operations and support.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications, with a strong capacity to leverage technology to enhance productivity.
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and diplomacy in interactions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Effective problem-solving skills, displaying discretion and sound judgment in determining the most appropriate course of action in various situations.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment to achieve common goals.
