The Faculty of Theology and Religion are seeking to appoint a highly organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to support the Faculty's professional services team.
The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of tasks to support the administrative and academic activities of the Faculty, including acting as the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors, assisting with arrangements for teaching, training and events, and collating and circulating information.
This role will suit an individual who enjoys being part of a busy office and working in a fast-paced and varied environment. The post-holder will need to work effectively as a team member as well as on their own initiative to ensure the smooth running of the Faculty and its activities.
Applicants should have experience of managing administrative processes, preferably in the Higher Education sector; the ability to work independently with minimum supervision; a willing, resilient and flexible attitude; the ability to work well with people at all levels, along with excellent communication and organisational skills. Previous experience of editing websites would also be advantageous.
