Applications are invited for appointment as Administrative Assistant II in the Sau Po Centre on Ageing within the Faculty of Social Science, (Ref.: 526204), to commence as soon as possible, on a 1-year temporary contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants are required to possess a Bachelor's degree, and preferably a higher degree, along with a minimum of 8 years' administrative experience at supervisory level, preferably with the higher education sector or a public/quasi-public organization. They should possess exceptional administration and management skills, particularly in the areas of human resources and finance; excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; outstanding interpersonal, organizational, project and people management, and problem-solving skills; the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team and multitask under pressure. They should be meticulous and self-motivated with a strong sense of integrity and work ethics.

The appointee will assume a pivotal role in strengthening the governance structure and knowledge exchange for the centre, and to support community- based research projects. The appointee will oversee a wide range of administrative functions including human resources, budgeting and financial matters, project planning and management, progress reporting, space planning and utilization, and office management; maintain close communication and liaisons with internal and external stakeholders for the centre development; and performing other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or written test.
