  • About This Opportunity

    We are seeking a personable, motivated and highly organised Administration Officer to join our School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences to provide a wide range of administrative support to the research team based at the Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS).

    In this role, you will support the effective and efficient operation of the team including day-to-day office coordination, diary management, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and a variety of administrative tasks to support research grant applications.

    This is an ideal position for those seeking flexible, part-time work in a busy, high-performing team environment.

    Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide secretarial, administrative support and office coordination for the research team.

  • Act as the initial point of contact for enquiries and liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain diaries and calendar, including reminders and the organisation of meetings, seminars and other research activities/events.

  • Process and draft office correspondence including research grant application administration.

  • Undertake general office finance reporting and administration, including reimbursements and travel claims.

  • Assist with promotions and marketing for related activities.

  • This is a part- time (40%), fixed-term position through to 31 December 2024.

    At HEW level 5, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $77,396 - $86,029, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $ 90,553 - $100,654 annually. As these roles are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.

    About You

  • Relevant secretarial or administrative experience.

  • Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of customer service, including effective interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

  • Effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working as a team member in a busy environment.

  • Working knowledge of University administrative systems, policies and procedures or the capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge.

  • In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:
