Position Summary Information

General Description of Position

Under the general supervision of the Dean and the Program Chair, the adjunct instructor will provide instruction to students in various courses which could include face-to-face, on-line, laboratory and/or clinical setting. The adjunct instructor may serve as a coordinator for a group of courses or be the lead instructor for a course or courses with the program. The adjunct instructor develops and implements the course syllabus according to the program curriculum plan and SCC policies in cooperation with other faculty.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Associates Degree in Respiratory Care, working towards Baccalaureate degree in Science, Allied Health or related field to be completed within two (2) years of hire. 2. Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in Nebraska. 3. Two (2) years experience in respiratory care. 4. Certified in CPR. 5. Maintain health requirements for clinical sites. 6. Member of the American Association for Respiratory Care.

Desired Qualifications

1. Masters degree. 2. Teaching experience in post-secondary education.
