| Job Summary/Basic Function | Job Summary:An Adjunct instructor is a term-to term appointment with responsibility to students, course material, and classroom and/or online instruction. Teaching duties include all levels of the Business curriculum for undergraduate and graduate courses. Roles Summary: To undertake teaching activities in the curriculum area, ensuring a high quality of provision, in response to learners’ needs. To work collaboratively and innovatively with colleagues. Key Responsibilities: • To undertake teaching and learning related activities, as agreed. • To ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared, and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner. • To undertake administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters. • To contribute to the development of curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration Functional Skills development and equality and diversity. |
| Minimum Qualifications | · An MBA or master’s degree with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate studies in a Business discipline. The degree must be from a regionally accredited institution. Strong written and oral communications skills required.· Expertise in any of the various business management/business administration.· Candidate must be an enthusiastic educator.· Strong written and oral communications skills required.· The ability to work with others within a larger department on curriculum, scheduling, study abroad, and related areas is indispensable. |
| Preferred Qualifications | · Master’s Degree is required, although a terminal degree is preferred from a regionally accredited university within a Business discipline (MBA and/or DBA or Ph.D in Business)· 18 hours of graduate work within discipline is required.· Professional certifications within related discipline are strongly preferred.· Minimum two years of teaching experience in areas such as economics, finance, or other related areas.· Minimum one year of online teaching experience.· Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in discipline area.· Demonstrate proficiency in popular software tools and learning management systems.· Or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
