| Job Description Summary | Lewis University is seeking an instructor proficient in Spanish and English, with academic preparation and expertise in Communication|Writing, who can teach courses in Spanish. As a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), Lewis values students’ linguistic and cultural identities as assets and is advancing translanguaging practices that strengthen multilingual learning and student success. We welcome candidates interested in contributing to this growing initiative. Adjunct Faculty will teach classes in the Department of English Studies, on an as needed basis. The Department is seeking a specialist in Rhetoric-Composition. |

| Responsibilities | Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education. -Teach one or more classes in the First-Year Writing Program -Actively participate in First-Year Writing professional development -Availability to hold office hours and meet with other faculty members and department chairs or directors when necessary -Serve as a model of professionalism and act as a resource for students within the teaching-learning environment. |
| Minimum Qualifications | Masters degree in Rhetoric-Composition and experience in teaching a range of college writing courses from a process approach supported with digital composing technologies. Excellent communication skills. |
