Job Reference: 1261170 Join Our Team as an Accommodation Coach at Curtin University! Do you have a passion for helping students find their perfect home away from home? We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Accommodation Coach to join Curtin's Bentley team and assist both international and domestic students in securing safe, affordable, and comfortable accommodation. As an Accommodation Coach, you will be the go-to guide for students, offering personalised support and expert advice through face-to-face consultations, online meetings, and webinars. You'll help students navigate the challenges of housing, from understanding their budget to evaluating the best options for them. As you will assist students across both Bentley and Kalgoorlie campuses, occasionally, some travel to Kalgoorlie may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored advice and develop action plans to help students secure accommodation.
  • Discuss budgets, cost of living, and provide realistic feedback to help students make informed decisions.
  • Triage and respond to accommodation requests through various channels including in-person, email, and online chat.
  • Collaborate with other University support services to assist students in crisis situations, helping arrange short-term accommodation when necessary.
  • Liaise with external accommodation providers to research and track available options.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions with students.
  • What We're Looking For:

  • A genuine passion for enhancing the student experience, with a focus on fostering a strong, supportive, and inclusive community.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both in-person and online.
  • Strong organisational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in accommodation, student housing, or any relevant field.
  • Work Requirements:

  • Must have current work rights in Australia matching the tenure of the role.
  • Occasional travel to Regional WA may be required.
  • Ability to work outside of normal office hours when required, including during the University's Limited Service Period.
  • If you're passionate about student wellbeing and want to make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you! This is a rewarding position that allows you to work in a supportive and dynamic environment. If you have a proactive approach to improving processes, increasing student engagement, and driving positive change within the residential community – we are eager to hear from you!
